2024 Seymour Unicorn Tudor Beasts 2oz Pure 999.9 Fine Silver Coin
The 2024 Seymour Unicorn 2oz silver coin is the fourth release in the Royal Tudor Beasts Collection from The Royal Mint. The collection features the 10 'Beasts' statues that line the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court and which represent the families of the King's line.

Designed by David Lawrence, the reverse side of the coin features the Unicorn of the house of Jane Seymour. This design is not only for visual appeal but also enhances security features as a protection against counterfeiting. The obverse side of the coin presents the official coinage portrait of His Majesty The King by Martin Jennings.

The Seymour Unicorn is a symbol of purity and fertility, gifted from Henry VIII to Jane Seymour. With a horse's body, lion's tail, goat's hooves and beard, and a spiralled horn, it wears a royal coronet and is adorned with daisies and roses, distinguishing it from the Unicorn of Scotland. The Unicorn bears a 6-quartered shield of the Seymour family and has a gold collar and chain, representing the taming of a wild creature.

The 2024 Seymour Unicorn gold coin contains exactly 2 troy ounces (62.2 grams) of pure 999.9 silver. The coin will be in production for a few months until the next coin in the series is released, so collectors should purchase as soon as possible in order to get all the coins of the series.
